Leap Motion

The Leap Motion controller is a sensor that tracks the users hand and finger movements and gestures in 3D. This allows us to interact with virtual objects just as we do with objects in the real world.

We ordered one to give it a go and see if this really is the future, instead of controllers? What an experience it is, sometimes it’s a shock just at what technology is capable of.

Even just playing through the tutorial was enough to open our minds to the possibilities of the future. There’s a little room with four different coloured blocks in, little headless robots come through the door and it’s your job to put the blocks on as their heads, using only your hands. It was at this point we were convinced that this is the future!
